Pedestrian slab
The centre is built above road and rail, so the map shows a dense web of footpaths and small squares with almost no vehicle streets passing through.

Louvain-la-Neuve Map Poster & Print
Louvain-la-Neuve is one of the few new towns in Europe created around a university. When the University of Louvain split along language lines in the late 1960s, its French-speaking section moved to farmland in Walloon Brabant, and construction of the town began at the start of the 1970s. The result is a place designed from the outset for walking, study and daily life together.
On the map, the town centre is a dense knot of narrow lanes, small squares and stairways, inspired by older European towns but built on a concrete slab. Cars and the railway station run underneath, which is why the plan shows so few through roads in the middle. Ring roads circle the outside, feeding car parks at the edges.
Around the core, residential quarters and faculty buildings spread across gentle hills, with woods and fields close by, and an artificial lake adds a smooth open shape beside the housing districts. A Louvain-la-Neuve map poster suits anyone who studied here, since the layout itself tells the story of an entire town assembled for a university.

Ring roads
A loop of roads surrounds the core, gathering traffic and parking at the edge, a planned arrangement that draws a clear outline around the walkable town.
Lake and woods
The man-made lake and the nearby Bois de Lauzelle add large, calm areas of water and woodland that balance the tightly packed streets of the centre.

අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Generations of students have lived, studied and graduated here, and for many the town's lanes and squares hold their university years. A map of it makes a thoughtful graduation gift or a reminder for alumni who have since moved elsewhere in Belgium or abroad.
Add your faculty, graduation year or residence name to the title and subtitle, and fix the coordinates to a kot or auditorium. Choose from five styles, including Paper and Blueprint, and download the files for $9 or order a matte print with an optional wooden frame.
