Magole Map Poster & Print
Magole is a settlement in Tanzania's Morogoro Region, a part of the country where fertile lowlands and river valleys lie below mountain ranges. From above, the pattern is loose rather than urban. Houses and plots are spread out along tracks and roads, with cultivated land running between and around them.
Places like Magole grow along routes and around farmland rather than according to a formal plan. The resulting map is made up of a few stronger road lines and many fine paths linking homesteads, fields and nearby settlements. Agriculture shapes the landscape, and the spacing of buildings reflects that.
A Magole map poster turns this loose pattern into a light, open composition. There is no dense centre, just a network of lines and scattered blocks spread across the frame. It will mean most to people with a direct connection to the place, for whom the paths and junctions have names and stories that no map can show.

Paths and tracks
Fine lines of footpaths and minor tracks link homesteads and fields, creating a delicate web across the rest of the poster.
Open ground
Large areas between the tracks are farmland rather than buildings, so the map has more white space than a typical town poster.
