Mangla Map Poster & Print
This Mangla lies in the Punjab province of Pakistan, on the broad alluvial plain between the great rivers of the region, well to the south of the dam that shares its name. The land here is almost perfectly flat, and from above it appears as a vast patchwork of fields divided by canals, roads and field boundaries.
Much of this part of Punjab was transformed by the canal colonies of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, when large irrigation systems turned dry land into productive farmland. The resulting landscape has an unusually regular geometry, with straight canals and roads crossing at right angles over long distances.
A Mangla map poster places the town's compact cluster of streets within this geometric setting. The contrast between the irregular lanes of the settlement and the straight lines of canals and roads around it gives the composition a clear structure and a quiet sense of scale that suits a minimalist print.

Rectangular fields
The surrounding farmland is divided into regular plots by roads and field boundaries, creating a fine grid pattern across the flat plain.
Town cluster
The settlement itself forms a compact knot of lanes and small streets, clearly distinct from the orderly agricultural pattern around it.
