Residential grain
Dense clusters of short streets and footpaths form the heart of the map, giving the poster a detailed texture that reads almost like woven fabric.

Mapalo Map Poster & Print
Mapalo lies in Zambia's Copperbelt Province, close to the Ndola area, on the high, gently rolling plateau that covers much of the region. From above, it reads as a residential pattern rather than a formal city centre: short streets, small blocks and paths filling the flatter ground, with main roads linking it to the neighbouring urban areas.
The Copperbelt grew around copper mining through the twentieth century, and many of its towns and settlements took shape in connection with that industry. On the map, this shows in the way housing areas, roads and open plots sit side by side, with patches of bush and farmland still visible between built-up zones.
A Mapalo map poster keeps the picture simple: lines for roads, the fine grain of homes and paths, and the empty spaces around them. Without labels or colour, the layout of the community becomes a graphic pattern, one that people who live here or grew up here will recognise from the way the streets connect.

Links to Ndola
Main roads connect Mapalo with the wider Ndola urban area, appearing on the poster as the heavier lines that anchor the finer local network.
Open plateau land
Between built-up areas, open ground and scattered tracks remain, so the settlement's outline stands out against the lighter surrounding space.

For families from the Copperbelt, a map of the streets where they live or grew up can mean more than any photograph. It is a calm, graphic record of home, suited to a living room, an office or a gift for someone who moved away.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates line, adding a name or a date. Five styles are available: Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. A free watermarked preview lets you check the layout before buying the $9 HD files or a printed poster.
