Belaya River bends
The Belaya curves past the town in wide loops, with old channels and floodplain traces around it, adding a flowing, organic element to the edge of the poster.

Meleuz Map Poster & Print
Meleuz lies in the south of Bashkortostan, on the Belaya River, at the point where the small Meleuz river flows into it. On a map the Belaya is the dominant feature, a broad, curving line with meanders and oxbow traces that shape the western edge of the town. The streets respond to it, bending slightly as they approach the floodplain.
The town sits in the foothills zone west of the Southern Urals, and the landscape around it begins to rise toward the east. Its centre is laid out in a regular pattern of blocks typical of Russian regional towns, with larger industrial and residential districts along the main roads. Neighbouring Kumertau lies only a short distance to the south.
A Meleuz map poster works because of that interplay between river and grid. The water brings organic curves and sweeping bends, while the town brings straight lines and right angles. In black and white, the contrast becomes the whole story, a simple drawing of how a settlement meets a river it has lived beside for centuries.

Tributary confluence
The smaller Meleuz river joins the Belaya near the town, a meeting of waters that gives the map a natural focal point and explains the place's name.
Regular central blocks
The centre follows a clear grid of rectangular blocks, a calm and orderly counterpart to the loose, winding lines of the rivers nearby.
