Miranda do Norte Map Poster & Print
Miranda do Norte is a municipality in the northern part of Maranhão, in northeastern Brazil. It lies in the lowlands of the state's interior, in the region south of the capital São Luís, where towns often grew up along the main highways that connect the coast with the interior.
The town's plan reflects that. A main road runs through the urban area, with commercial activity concentrated along it, and a grid of residential streets extends on either side. Toward the edges, streets become less regular and eventually give way to farmland, pasture and patches of vegetation on the flat terrain.
A Miranda do Norte map poster shows this road-shaped town clearly: the strong line of the highway, the blocks built up beside it and the open country beyond. It is an honest, uncomplicated map that means a great deal to those who call the town home.

Residential blocks
On both sides of the highway, a grid of residential streets fills the urban area, becoming looser and more irregular toward the outskirts.
Open lowland
Flat farmland and pasture surround the town, leaving wide open space around the streets and letting the urban shape stand out on the page.
