Miranda Map Poster & Print
Miranda lies in the north of the Cauca Department in Colombia, where the flat valley of the Cauca river meets the first slopes of the Central Cordillera. On the map, the town forms a compact grid of streets around a central plaza, with the valley floor spreading out to the west and the terrain rising to the east.
The valley around Miranda is one of the main sugarcane-growing areas of Colombia, and large fields of cane surround the town on the lower ground. Toward the mountains, the landscape becomes steeper and more broken, with smaller farms and winding rural roads.
A Miranda map poster shows this sharp transition clearly. The regular town grid sits in the centre, straight roads run into the flat cane fields, and curving paths lead up into the hills. It is a small town map with a strong sense of place between valley and mountain.

Cordillera foothills
To the east the ground rises into the Central Cordillera, where roads start to curve and the map becomes looser and more irregular.
