Mission Bend Map Poster & Print
Mission Bend is a suburban community southwest of Houston, spread across parts of Fort Bend and Harris counties. From above it follows the typical Houston-area pattern. Wide arterial roads form a large grid, and inside each square are winding residential streets, cul-de-sacs and small parks.
The area grew as a planned residential development in the second half of the twentieth century. It is an unincorporated community rather than a city, so it is defined more by its subdivisions and schools than by a traditional downtown. Drainage channels and detention ponds, needed in this flat, low-lying terrain, run through the neighbourhoods.
A Mission Bend map poster turns that suburban pattern into something close to abstract art. It shows looping streets, repeated cul-de-sacs and the straight lines of the main roads. It is a surprisingly elegant image of where many people actually live.

Curving subdivisions
Inside each block, residential streets loop and end in cul-de-sacs. They create dense, ornamental patterns.
Drainage channels
Bayou tributaries and engineered channels run diagonally between the neighbourhoods. They break up the geometry with thin lines of water.
