Irrigation canals
Straight canals and drains cross the surrounding farmland, dividing it into long parallel strips. On the poster they appear as fine lines that organise the entire composition around the town.

Mīt Salsīl Map Poster & Print
Mīt Salsīl lies in Dakahlia Governorate in the northeastern part of the Nile Delta, where the land is almost perfectly flat and every field depends on water brought in by canals. From above, the town appears as a dense cluster of buildings and narrow lanes. Around it spreads a fine mesh of long, thin agricultural plots that stretch out in every direction.
The wider district extends toward the southern margins of Lake Manzala, a large, shallow coastal lagoon between the Damietta branch of the Nile and the Suez Canal. That setting shapes the map: canals and drains run in long, straight lines, roads follow their banks, and villages sit along them like beads on a thread.
A Mīt Salsīl map poster captures a landscape that is rarely drawn at this scale. The contrast between the tight urban core and the linear pattern of fields and waterways gives the design its character, and with no hills to interrupt them every line stays clear. It is a map about water and settlement as much as about streets.

Dense town core
The centre is built up tightly, with narrow lanes packed between buildings. In black and white it reads as a textured block set against the open, geometric fields.
Toward Lake Manzala
The district lies in the low northeastern Delta, in the direction of Lake Manzala, the broad lagoon near the Mediterranean coast that defines this corner of Egypt.
