Namavundu Map Poster & Print
Namavundu is in Uganda's Eastern Region, just north of the equator, in an area of farms, smallholdings and scattered settlements. From above, the town is a cluster of roads and compounds surrounded by cultivated land. The street pattern is informal, with lanes branching off the main routes and fading into footpaths towards the fields.
A place like this doesn't have the dense grid of a large city, so the map looks different. The main roads carry most of the structure, and around them the built-up area loosens into a fine web of tracks and plots. The result is an organic, hand-drawn quality that feels close to the way the town grew.
A Namavundu map poster captures that pattern in simple black and white. It's a fitting piece for someone from the area, for families spread between eastern Uganda and elsewhere, or for anyone who has lived and worked in the town and wants a quiet, precise reminder of it.

Organic lanes
Away from the main routes, streets and tracks follow the land and property lines rather than a planned grid, giving the drawing an irregular, living texture.
Farmland edges
The town has no hard edge. Settlement gives way gradually to cultivated land, so the map fades from denser lines at the centre to open space at the margins.

For many people a map of Namavundu is a map of home: where parents grew up, where a family house still stands, or where a chapter of life was spent. On a wall far away it keeps the place present in a form that is calm and unsentimental.
