Nangong is a county-level city under Xingtai in southern Hebei, set on the North China Plain where the land is almost perfectly flat. That flatness shapes the map: long straight roads, a mostly rectangular pattern of city blocks and a clear edge where the built-up area meets a wide spread of fields.
