Nowshera Kalan Map Poster & Print
Nowshera lies on the Kabul River in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, roughly midway between Peshawar and the Indus crossing at Attock. The river is the main feature of the map. It runs broad and braided across the landscape, with the town spread along its banks. Bridges tie the two sides together, and the floodplain leaves wide open bands where no streets can go.
The town is also a long-established military station. The cantonment's planned layout, with straight roads, large compounds and generous open grounds, looks very different from the tighter, more organic civilian quarters nearby. The historic Grand Trunk Road runs through the area as the region's main east–west route. On a Nowshera Kalan map poster, those three layers sit side by side: river, cantonment and bazaar town.
The Kabul River has also shaped Nowshera's more recent history. The town was among the places most severely affected by the 2010 floods in Pakistan. That event is part of why the river looks so large here even on a black-and-white map. It is both the source of the town's fertile surroundings and its most powerful force.

Cantonment layout
The military station's broad roads, orderly plots and open grounds form a distinctly planned area. It sits in clear contrast with the dense older town.
The Grand Trunk Road
The historic route linking Peshawar with the east passes through Nowshera. It draws a long, purposeful line that anchors the whole street network.

Many people pass through Nowshera, serve there or have roots on both sides of the river. A map of it marks a place defined by crossings, whether bridges, roads or postings, and that is worth remembering.
The title, subtitle and coordinates are all yours to edit, for example with a regiment, a family name or a year. Choose from five styles. Noir, with its white linework on black, shows the river's shape especially clearly.
