Palace quarter
The older core around the Soun's palace forms the densest part of the map, a knot of short, irregular streets that shows how the town grew outward from its traditional centre.

Ogbomoso Map Poster & Print
Ogbomoso sits in the northern part of Oyo State, where the forest of southern Nigeria begins to open into savanna. From above, the town reads as a compact, tightly packed core with streets that curve and branch rather than run in straight lines, surrounded by newer neighbourhoods laid out along the main roads. It is one of the larger Yoruba cities, and its growth shows clearly in how the built area spreads outward.
The traditional heart of the town is associated with the palace of the Soun, the paramount ruler of Ogbomoso, and older quarters cluster around it in the way many Yoruba towns grew. Further out, the pattern loosens into wider blocks and longer roads. The highway linking Ibadan and Oyo to Ilorin passes through, giving the map a strong line that the rest of the streets hang from.
Ogbomoso is also a university town, home to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, and has long ties to Baptist missionary work, including a well-known hospital and seminary. On an Ogbomoso map poster, the result is a portrait of a city that is both old and expanding: a dense centre, a web of lanes, and roads reaching out across the flat surrounding land.

Through highway
The main road between Oyo and Ilorin cuts across Ogbomoso as a long, confident line, anchoring the composition and linking the town to the wider road network of western Nigeria.
University edge
The campus of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology adds a looser, more open pattern of buildings and access roads, a clear contrast with the tight weave of the old town.
