Otrokovice Map Poster & Print
Otrokovice sits in the Zlín region of eastern Czechia, on the flat floor of the Morava valley where the Dřevnice river flows in from Zlín. The map shows a town with two characters: an older village core near the river, and larger planned districts that grew in the twentieth century around industry, with regular streets, housing blocks and broad factory sites.
Much of that growth is linked to the Baťa shoe company, which expanded here from nearby Zlín in the interwar years and built factories, housing and an airfield. The navigable Baťa Canal begins here and follows the Morava south. The functionalist brick architecture associated with Baťa still marks parts of the town, and the industrial site remains a large, distinctive shape on the map.
An Otrokovice map poster captures that combination of river landscape and modern planning. The curves of the Morava and its floodplain meet the straight lines of streets, railway tracks and industrial blocks, and the result is arguably one of the most graphic town plans of its size in Moravia. It rewards a close look.

Baťa-era planning
Twentieth-century districts laid out around the Baťa works show regular streets and repeated housing blocks, a planned order that contrasts with the older village core.
Canal and airfield
The Baťa Canal sets out along the Morava from here, and a nearby airfield runway adds a clean, straight stroke to the composition.
