Palaiseau Map Poster & Print
Palaiseau lies in the Essonne department south of Paris, and its map is defined by a change in height. The older town sits in the valley of the Yvette, with winding streets, a church and small plots. From there the land rises sharply to the Saclay plateau, where broad, straight roads serve research institutions and large campus buildings.
Since 1976 the plateau has been home to the École polytechnique, one of France's most prestigious engineering schools, and it now forms part of the Paris-Saclay scientific cluster. On the map, the campus appears as a series of large rectangular blocks and landscaped grounds, with a lake at its heart.
The contrast between valley and plateau makes a Palaiseau map poster unusually interesting. Wooded slopes separate the two levels. In the valley, the railway and roads follow the natural contours, while the plateau is organised with an engineer's precision. It is a portrait of a town where history and research share the same ground.

Polytechnique campus
On the plateau, the school's grounds form a large, ordered composition of buildings, sports fields and a central lake, easy to spot on the poster.
Wooded slopes
A band of woodland marks the steep edge between valley and plateau, dividing the map into two distinct zones with a soft green border.
