The Ciudadela
The late sixteenth-century citadel keeps its five-pointed star plan, now surrounded by park. On the map it is one of the clearest fortification shapes in Europe, sharp-edged among softer streets.

Pamplona Map Poster & Print
Pamplona, the capital of Navarre, is one of the most legible historic cities in northern Spain when seen from above. The medieval old town sits on high ground inside a bend of the Arga River, still largely wrapped by its walls and bastions. To the south lie the planned Ensanche districts, whose rectangular blocks were laid out as the city outgrew its fortifications.
The city is famous worldwide for the San Fermín festival each July and its running of the bulls through the narrow streets of the old town, a route that ends at the bullring. Pamplona is also a major stop on the Camino de Santiago. The route enters across the river and climbs into the historic centre before continuing west.
A Pamplona map poster brings these layers together in one frame. It holds the tight medieval lanes, the pentagonal outline of the Ciudadela and its parkland, the regular Ensanche blocks and the looping river with its green banks. In black and white the contrast between organic and geometric forms is especially strong, which makes this a rewarding city to hang.

Old town walls
Much of the historic ring of walls and bastions survives along the northern and eastern edge of the old town, tracing a firm outline above the river meadows.
River Arga loops
The Arga curls around the north of the city in wide meanders. Riverside parks line its banks, and several bridges cross it, including the medieval bridge used by Camino pilgrims.

ඇයි Pamplona
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
People hang Pamplona for many reasons: a week at San Fermín, a stretch of the Camino, years at one of the city's universities, or simply because they were born there. With its walls, citadel and river, the map looks composed rather than merely printed.
Personalise it with a title, a subtitle and a date, such as the day you arrived as a pilgrim, and edit the coordinates line if you like. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Then order the HD files for $9 or a matte print.
