Houses gather in small, tree-shaded clusters along lanes, spread evenly across the district rather than concentrated in a single centre.

Pandak Map Poster & Print
Pandak is a district in Bantul Regency, south of the city of Yogyakarta on the island of Java. From above, it is not a single dense town but a spread of villages set among irrigated rice fields. Houses cluster along lanes and small roads, and the fields between them form a patchwork of narrow plots.
The area lies on the fertile plain between Yogyakarta and the Indian Ocean coast, a landscape shaped by rivers coming down from the volcanic uplands to the north. On a map, irrigation channels and small streams add thin lines between the fields, and the main roads lead north toward the city and south toward the sea.
A Pandak map poster shows rural Java in close detail. The village clusters appear as small darker patches, the lanes connect them in a loose net, and the fields fill the rest with an even texture. In black and white the result is calm and intricate, closer to a textile pattern than a city plan.

Rice field patchwork
Irrigated paddies fill the spaces between villages, divided into narrow plots and crossed by channels that give the map a fine, regular texture.
Roads north and south
Main roads run toward Yogyakarta to the north and the coastal plain to the south, the clearest lines in an otherwise gently woven landscape.
