Valley streets
The main roads follow the lower ground between hills, so the town stretches out in fingers rather than spreading as a compact block.

Pengcheng Map Poster & Print
Pengcheng is a town in the Fengfeng mining district of Handan, in southern Hebei. It sits where the North China Plain begins to rise into the foothills of the Taihang Mountains. On a map the built-up area is irregular. Streets follow valley floors and low ridges rather than a single grid, and industrial sites and rail spurs fill the gaps between neighbourhoods.
The area has long been connected with ceramics. Pengcheng was one of the main production centres of Cizhou ware, the boldly painted stoneware made in this part of Hebei for many centuries. Coal mining later shaped the district and left behind a landscape of works, rail lines and worker housing.
A Pengcheng map poster captures that uneven, working terrain. Roads bend around hillsides, and main streets follow the valleys. The town's edges fade into terraced farmland and higher ground. In black and white the result is less formal than a planned city, closer to a contour sketch of a place shaped by its ground and its industries.

Industrial fabric
Rail spurs and large works sites from the mining era appear as broad, open shapes set among the smaller residential blocks.
Foothill edge
West of the town the land rises towards the Taihang range, and the street network thins into scattered village roads.
