Portslade Map Poster & Print
Portslade lies on the south coast of England, at the western end of Brighton and Hove. On the map it forms a long north-south strip. At the bottom is the coastline and the eastern end of Shoreham Harbour, with its wharves and locks. In the middle are rows of Victorian and interwar terraced streets, and above them the land rises toward the Downs.
The original village of Portslade sits inland, away from the sea, with its church and older lanes. It has a looser, more irregular pattern than the streets below. The railway runs east to west through the town, and Portslade station connects it with Brighton and the coast. To the north, housing gives way to open chalk downland within the South Downs.
A Portslade map poster captures that whole sequence in one frame: harbour and sea, dense terraces, old village and rising hills. It is a map of a coastal town with a clear vertical structure, defined as much by the landscape above it as by the water below.

Old Portslade village
The historic village lies inland around its church. Irregular old lanes contrast with the regular terraces that grew later down the slope.
Rise to the Downs
Streets climb northward toward the open chalk hills. The built area gives way to wide, quiet space at the top of the map.
