Highway spine
The town developed along a through road, and that line still anchors the whole plan. It runs across the frame with the streets attached to it like ribs.

Posto da Mata Map Poster & Print
Posto da Mata lies in the extreme south of Bahia, inland from the Atlantic coast and not far from the border with Espírito Santo. Administratively it belongs to the municipality of Nova Viçosa, yet it has grown into a sizeable community of its own. From above, the town is organised around the road that brought it into being, with blocks filling in on either side.
The name means roughly forest post, and it recalls a stopping point on a route through what was once dense Atlantic forest. Today farming and tree plantations cover much of the surrounding land, and on a map they appear as broad, regular parcels. The contrast between these large geometric fields and the finer street pattern of the town gives this place its particular look.
A Posto da Mata map poster captures that linear logic: a main road acting as the spine, streets laid off it in a practical, gridded way, and open land stretching out beyond. It is an unpretentious composition but a clear one, and in monochrome it has the calm structure of a surveyor’s drawing.

Practical grid
Newer neighbourhoods follow a straightforward, mostly rectilinear layout, with blocks set out efficiently as the settlement expanded away from the road.
Plantation country
Beyond the built-up area, large regular field and plantation parcels surround the town and give the edges of the map a broad, quiet rhythm.

ඇයි Posto da Mata
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Posto da Mata rarely appears on souvenirs, which is exactly why a map of it means something. It suits people who were raised here, who worked in the region, or who want a record of a town that shaped them.
Personalise the title and subtitle, perhaps with a year or a family name, and keep or edit the coordinates line. Pick from five styles (Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand), then download 300 DPI files or order a matte print.
