The historic pier
The pier projects from the shore as a single straight line, a reminder of the decades when this town handled much of Colombia's international arrivals before Barranquilla's river port took over.

Puerto Colombia Map Poster & Print
Puerto Colombia lies on the Caribbean coast of Atlántico department, just west of Barranquilla. From above, the town is a small grid of blocks pressed against a gently curving shore, with beaches running in both directions and newer residential areas spreading inland toward the metropolitan area. The sea occupies a large part of any frame, which gives the map an open, horizontal feel.
The town is best known for its pier, built in the late nineteenth century when Puerto Colombia served as a major entry point for goods and immigrants arriving in Colombia. It was once among the longest in the world, and although much of it has been lost to storms, its line into the water remains part of local identity. The nearby Salgar area has a small fortified building overlooking the coast.
A Puerto Colombia map poster reads mostly as a study of edges: the straight streets of the old centre, the soft curve of the beach, and the single thin stroke reaching out to sea. It is a simple composition, and that simplicity suits the place well in black and white.

Beachfront grid
The centre is a regular grid of short blocks set parallel to the shore, so streets end almost directly at the sand along a long, gently bending coastline.
Edge of the metro area
Inland, the town merges gradually with the suburbs of Barranquilla, and the map shows denser street patterns thickening toward the east of the frame.

For families with roots in the region, or anyone who spent weekends on these beaches, the map holds a specific memory of sea air and a pier that shaped Colombian history. It is a coastal print that stays understated.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can all be changed, so you can add a wedding date or a family name. Five styles are available, and Noir makes the Caribbean a deep dark field against a pale shore, while Classic keeps it crisp and bright.
