Qorof Map Poster & Print
Qorof is a town in the Somali Region of eastern Ethiopia, in the dry lowlands that stretch toward the border with Somalia. Life in this region has long revolved around livestock herding, water sources and the routes connecting towns across very large distances. The settlement is small, and on a map it appears as a modest group of streets in open land.
Because so little is built up around it, the town's layout is easy to read. A handful of main streets meet near the centre, with smaller lanes and compounds around them. Tracks leave the town and run far across the semi-arid plain, often in long straight or gently curving lines.
A Qorof map poster is mostly empty space, and that is its appeal. It is a minimal portrait of a place defined by distance and open country. It suits people from the town and the wider region, and anyone who has worked or travelled in eastern Ethiopia.

Long overland tracks
Roads and tracks head out across the plain toward other settlements. They are the only lines in much of the frame and pull the eye outward.
Open lowland
The semi-arid country around the town has few features at map scale, which makes the composition especially spare and quiet.

අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Maps of small places often mean the most. For someone from Qorof, a map of the town is a direct link to home that no general map of Ethiopia can offer. Its spare layout also works well as a graphic piece of art.
Personalise the title and subtitle, including a family name or a date, and edit the coordinates line. Choose one of five styles, such as warm Sand or high-contrast Noir. HD files cost $9, and printed posters ship from partners in over 30 countries.
