Winding residential streets
Rose Hill's streets curve and branch into loops and cul-de-sacs. On the poster these flowing lines create a soft, organic pattern that feels very different from a city grid.

Rose Hill Map Poster & Print
Rose Hill is an unincorporated community in Fairfax County, Virginia, just south of the Capital Beltway and a short distance from Alexandria. On a map it looks like a classic postwar suburb: curving streets, loops and cul-de-sacs laid across gently rolling ground, with houses on generous lots among mature trees. There is no traditional town centre, only neighbourhoods linked by a few main roads.
Those main roads give the area its frame. Telegraph Road and Franconia Road pass close by, and the Beltway to the north forms a hard, wide line separating Rose Hill from the denser districts toward Alexandria. Wooded stream valleys run between neighbourhoods, and on the map they appear as quiet gaps within the residential pattern.
Rose Hill is close enough to Washington, D.C. for many residents to commute into the city, and it has long been a settled part of the capital region's suburbs. A Rose Hill map poster shows this quieter side of Northern Virginia, where the geometry comes from the curve of the streets rather than from a grid.

Capital Beltway
The interstate runs just to the north, a broad band that frames the area. It gives the map a strong edge and shows how the community sits within the wider region.
Wooded stream valleys
Narrow strips of woodland follow small streams between neighbourhoods. They appear as open gaps on the map, breaking the housing pattern and adding a sense of space.

Rose Hill is the kind of place where people put down roots, raise children and stay for decades. A map of the neighbourhood marks those years, and it is a thoughtful gift for a housewarming, a retirement or a move away from Northern Virginia.
