Saint-Gratien Map Poster & Print
Saint-Gratien is in the Val-d'Oise, in the inner northern suburbs of Paris. Its map is mostly made of quiet residential streets and small detached houses, arranged in a slightly irregular pattern rather than a strict grid. On the east side, the town meets the Lac d'Enghien, a small lake shared with the neighbouring spa town of Enghien-les-Bains.
In the nineteenth century, Princess Mathilde Bonaparte kept a country house here and hosted writers and artists from Paris. The town is also associated with Marshal Catinat, who spent his last years in Saint-Gratien. Today it is mostly residential, but it still has something of that retreat-like feeling.
A Saint-Gratien map poster is built around the contrast between the lake and the streets. The water forms one calm, rounded shape, and the surrounding lanes gather around its shore. In black and white, the lake becomes a single pale oval set among a finely detailed suburban pattern.

Residential lanes
Much of Saint-Gratien consists of short, gently curving streets lined with houses. This creates a soft, even texture across the poster.
Rail lines to Paris
Suburban railway lines pass through the area toward the capital. They are among the few long, straight lines in an otherwise gentle layout.
