Salor Map Poster & Print
Salor lies in the Tashkent Region of Uzbekistan, on the irrigated plain a short distance east of the capital. This is farming country shaped by water management: canals and ditches carry water from the rivers across the land, and on a map they appear as long, deliberate lines dividing fields, orchards and settlements into orderly sections.
The built-up area follows the roads, with houses set along streets and their gardens and courtyards forming a fine texture behind them. Tree-lined roads and small plots give the landscape a green, cultivated character, and the growing city of Tashkent is close enough that the edges of the metropolitan area are never far from view.
A Salor map poster reveals how human hands have organised this land over generations. Canals, roads and field boundaries create a gentle geometry, and the settlement sits within it rather than on top of it. It is a calm and quietly intricate map, best appreciated by those who know the place and its closeness to the capital.
