Enclosed valley plain
Mountain ridges run along both sides of the plain, framing the town and its farmland. On the poster they read as calm open space that sharpens the town's outline.

Sarvestān Map Poster & Print
Sarvestān lies southeast of Shiraz in Fars province, on a plain enclosed by the parallel ridges of the Zagros. From above, the town is a compact mass of streets and courtyards surrounded by a patchwork of fields and orchards. The mountains on either side appear as broad, empty bands, which gives the map a strong sense of enclosure, as if the valley had been drawn around the town.
The name is usually read as place of cypresses, from the Persian word sarv. A short distance south of the town stands the Sarvestan Palace, a domed building from the Sasanian era. It is part of the Sassanid Archaeological Landscape of Fars Region, which UNESCO listed as a World Heritage site in 2018, and it is one reason the name is known well beyond the province.
A Sarvestān map poster reduces this landscape to its essentials: the dense cluster of the town, the straight roads across the plain and the empty ridges. The result is restrained and architectural. It suits interiors with clean lines and anyone who values places where ancient history and everyday life share the same valley.

Compact town core
Streets and lanes knot together into a dense centre with narrow passages between blocks. This gives the middle of the print its darkest, most detailed texture.
Road to the palace
A road leads south across the plain toward the Sasanian palace. It links the modern town with one of the best-known ancient buildings in Fars.

අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Some people hang this map because Sarvestān is home or family. Others have taken the road from Shiraz to see the Sasanian palace and want to remember the valley around it. Either way, the print is quiet enough to live with every day and specific enough to start a conversation.
