Serdobsk Map Poster & Print
Serdobsk is a town in Penza Oblast, in the gently rolling country of the Volga Upland. It sits on the Serdoba River, a tributary of the Khopyor, and the river's winding course provides the most natural line on its map. The town's streets are laid out in a largely regular pattern on the higher bank, while the floodplain and its meanders stay open, giving the composition a clear edge on one side.
Serdobsk dates back to the late seventeenth century and later grew with the arrival of the railway, which crosses the town and adds a second strong line to its plan. It is also widely known for its clock factory, long one of the town's best-known enterprises, whose name became familiar across the region.
A Serdobsk map poster brings these elements together: the loose curve of the river, the straight run of the railway and the orderly blocks in between. In black and white, the balance between the geometric town and the organic floodplain is especially clear, making it a composed, quietly handsome image of a provincial Russian town.

Regular town plan
Much of the town follows an orderly grid of streets and rectangular blocks, a layout typical of provincial towns in the region and very legible at poster scale.
Railway corridor
The railway cuts through the town as a long straight line, dividing districts and contrasting with the curving river in a way that suits a graphic poster.
