Level plain
Because the terrain is so flat, roads run long and straight. The poster reads almost like a surveyor's drawing, with few curves to break the rhythm.

Shangkou Map Poster & Print
Shangkou lies on the flat plain of north-central Shandong, not far inland from Laizhou Bay. The land here is low and nearly level. From above, the town shows as a compact core of streets and low buildings. Around it, long field boundaries, irrigation ditches and village clusters repeat almost to the horizon.
This part of Weifang prefecture is known across China for intensive farming, especially vegetable growing. Much of the surrounding land is used for crops and greenhouses, which form fine, regular stripes in aerial imagery. Towns such as Shangkou act as local centres for markets, schools and services for the villages around them.
A Shangkou map poster works with this geometry of cultivation. The street network is modest, and the rural roads run straight between fields. Scattered villages add small clusters of density across the sheet. The drawing is quiet and measured, much like the countryside it shows. It suits anyone with a connection to this corner of Shandong.

Field patterns
Rectangular plots and long field edges surround the town. In the line style they turn into a fine texture that fills the edges of the frame.
Village clusters
Small villages sit at regular intervals across the countryside. On the map they appear as dense knots of lanes linked by rural roads.
