Shumerlya Map Poster & Print
Shumerlya lies in the south of the Chuvash Republic, in a heavily forested area not far from the Sura River. The town grew in the twentieth century around a railway and the timber industry, and its map reflects that practical beginning. Streets are laid out in fairly regular blocks, with the railway running through as a clear, straight line and industrial areas next to it.
Forest surrounds the town on most sides, so on a map the built-up area appears as a distinct island of streets in a large, quiet green expanse. Roads leave in several directions through the woods, linking Shumerlya with neighbouring towns and villages. Wide clearings, rail sidings and timber yards add larger, simpler shapes to the street network.
A Shumerlya map poster shows a small Russian industrial town in its natural setting. The ordered streets, the railway and the forest edge make a clean, strongly defined composition, a precise portrait of a place shaped by rail and timber.

Regular blocks
Streets are arranged in fairly regular blocks, typical of a planned twentieth-century town. They give the centre an orderly, even texture.
Forest edge
Wide woodland surrounds the town on most sides. The sharp line between streets and forest gives the map a clear, defined shape.
