Right-angled centre
The core of the town is laid out in regular blocks, which gives the middle of the map a clear, grid-like texture that stands out against the open land around it.

Sidi Bouzid Map Poster & Print
From above, Sidi Bouzid is a tight urban core on a wide, flat stretch of central Tunisia. The streets are mostly straight blocks set at right angles. Main roads leave the centre in several directions, and at the edges the built-up area thins into a pattern of fields, orchards and tracks. It is easy to see where the town stops and the farmland starts.
The town is the capital of its governorate and a market centre for a large farming region known for olives, almonds and vegetables. It has a place in modern history too. The protest that began here in December 2010 grew into the Tunisian revolution, and the town's name travelled well beyond the country's borders in the weeks that followed.
A Sidi Bouzid map poster shows a place in plain lines. It has no coastline, no river valley and no old medina walls to organise it. The roads and blocks alone give the town its shape, sitting in a quiet field of steppe. In black and white, that simplicity looks deliberate, almost like an architectural plan.

Roads to the plains
Several main roads run out from the centre and cross the surrounding farmland. Their lines stretch the town's outline in a few directions without breaking the calm of the plain.
Edge of the farmland
Toward the outskirts, dense streets give way to scattered plots and field tracks, and the poster records that gradual shift from town to countryside in fine linework.
