The Yalu River
The wide river forms the northern boundary and the international border. Its channels, bars and islands take up a large part of the map and give it a strong horizontal band.

Sinŭiju Map Poster & Print
Sinŭiju stands on the southern bank of the Yalu River near its mouth, in the far northwest of North Korea. Directly across the water lies the Chinese city of Dandong, and the two form one of the most closely watched frontiers in Asia. The ground here is low and flat, a floodplain of river channels, sandbanks and islands spreading toward the Yellow Sea.
The river dominates any map of the city. Its broad channel runs along the northern edge, with long islands dividing the water in places. The Sino-Korean Friendship Bridge crosses to Dandong, and beside it stand the remains of an older bridge cut during the Korean War, which ends abruptly in midstream. On the land side, straight streets are laid out in a planned pattern.
Because the city itself is difficult to visit, a Sinŭiju map poster offers a rare, calm view of a place usually seen only from the opposite bank. In black and white, the contrast between the wide river and the orderly grid is striking, and the bridges become the natural focal point of the composition.

The bridges
The Friendship Bridge links the city to Dandong, while the severed span beside it stops short in the river. Together they are the most recognisable feature of the view.
Planned blocks
South of the river, the city is laid out in straight, broad streets and regular blocks, a planned pattern that stands out against the irregular shapes of the floodplain.

අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
This map appeals to people interested in borders, geography and places that are hard to reach, as well as to anyone with a connection to the Yalu region on either bank. It is a quiet, graphic study rather than a travel souvenir.
Personalise the title and subtitle, for instance with the river's name or a date, and keep the coordinates line. Blueprint suits the technical feel of the bridges, while Paper and Sand are softer; five styles in all are available.
