Sollentuna Map Poster & Print
Sollentuna lies just north of Stockholm, between the city and Arlanda. On a map it has a clear north to south structure. The E4 motorway and the commuter railway run through the middle in parallel. Residential areas, mostly villas and low apartment blocks, spread out on either side, divided by forest and water. Lake Norrviken lies to the north, and the long, narrow Edsviken bay reaches in from the Baltic side.
The municipality has grown from a string of railway villages into a well-connected commuter area, but it has kept a lot of its natural setting. Forest patches separate neighbourhoods, and the Järvafältet nature reserve borders it to the west. Lakes such as Rösjön are popular for swimming in summer and skating in winter.
A Sollentuna map poster works well because nature is always present in it. Streets curve around rocky hills and end in cul-de-sacs, and the regular pattern is often interrupted by forest. The strongest lines are the motorway, the railway and the shorelines. The result is calm and balanced, quite typical of the Swedish suburban landscape.

Norrviken lake
In the north, the lake forms a broad open area. Residential streets and paths trace its shoreline in soft curves.
Rail and E4 spine
The commuter railway and the motorway run side by side through the centre, and most neighbourhoods are organised around them.
