Plateau edge
The northern rim of the hill falls steeply towards the Puyallup valley. On the map it is a clear boundary where winding suburban streets give way to the straighter grid below.

South Hill Map Poster & Print
South Hill covers a broad upland directly south of Puyallup in Pierce County, Washington. From above, the contrast with the valley below is striking. The old river town sits on a flat floodplain, while South Hill's streets climb onto the plateau and spread out in curving subdivisions, winding lanes and dead ends. It is an unincorporated community, and its layout reflects decades of steady residential growth rather than a single plan.
A few long arterial roads run north to south across the hill and carry most of the traffic, with shopping centres and offices gathered along them. Between these corridors the map fills with small, inward-facing neighbourhoods, each a cluster of loops that rarely connects to the next. Remaining patches of forest and parkland break up the pattern with open, quiet space.
On clear days Mount Rainier fills the horizon to the southeast, though the mountain lies well beyond the frame of the map. A South Hill map poster focuses on what is underfoot. It shows the edge of the plateau where it drops towards Puyallup, and the intricate web of residential streets that makes the area recognisable to the people who live there.

Arterial corridors
Long north–south roads carry commercial strips across the plateau. They form the main structural lines of the print against the finer residential pattern around them.
Cul-de-sac neighbourhoods
Self-contained subdivisions with looping streets and dead ends make up much of the area. Rendered in fine black lines, they produce a dense, almost organic texture.

People hang this map because South Hill is where they bought a first house, raised children or settled after moving to the Puget Sound region. The area is defined by its neighbourhoods rather than its landmarks, and a map is one of the few images that captures it properly.
The title, subtitle and coordinates can all be changed, so the poster can carry a family name or a move-in date. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. Then download 300 DPI PNG and PDF files for $9, or order a matte print with an optional frame.
