Agusan River
The river passes close to the town and bends through the valley in wide meanders. On the poster it is the strongest line, around which everything else is arranged.

Talacogon Map Poster & Print
Talacogon lies in Agusan del Sur, in the Caraga region of eastern Mindanao. The town sits beside the Agusan River, one of the largest rivers in the Philippines, which winds north across a broad and flat valley. On a map the river dominates, drawing long loops that the roads and settlements must work around.
This is low, wet country. The surrounding land belongs to the wider Agusan basin, where marshes, oxbow lakes and seasonal flooding shape how and where people build. The street layout of the town centre is compact, while the outer barangays spread out along roads and riverbanks.
A Talacogon map poster reads almost like a study of water. Curving channels, still lakes and narrow roads create an image that is quiet and organic, with very little that is straight. It is a place that looks different from the dense, gridded cities many people associate with the Philippines.

Floodplain lakes
Scattered pools and old river loops sit in the low ground. They appear as small, rounded water shapes that break up the open fields and give the map texture.
Compact centre
The town proper is a small cluster of streets near the river. Beyond it, roads thin out and follow the higher ground between wet areas.
