Plateau setting
The town sits on the raised, fairly level Makonde Plateau. Streets spread evenly without steep slopes to bend them, which gives the plan a steady, open look.

Tandahimba Map Poster & Print
Tandahimba sits on the Makonde Plateau in southern Tanzania, in the Mtwara Region near the border with Mozambique. From above, the town is an open cluster of streets around a few main roads. Past the last houses the grid thins into scattered homesteads and field tracks, and the flat top of the plateau keeps the pattern even in every direction.
The district is known for cashew nuts, and much of the surrounding land is given over to smallholder groves. On a map this shows up as quiet space around the town instead of hard lines, with footpaths and minor roads connecting outlying villages. To the south the plateau drops towards the Ruvuma River, the natural boundary between Tanzania and Mozambique.
A Tandahimba map poster keeps things simple: a compact core, roads leading out to the region, and the sparse texture of a farming town. Printed in black and white, it looks calm and uncrowded, and shows how a place on the plateau is organised without the density of a large city.

Roads outward
A handful of main roads leave the centre for neighbouring district towns and villages. On the poster they are the strongest lines, running out from the compact core.
Farmland margins
Beyond the built-up area, cashew groves and small farms make up most of the land. The map fades into thin tracks and scattered buildings, so the town's edge feels soft.
