The Maas
The river runs along the western side of town, a broad and steady line that anchors the composition and separates Tegelen from the land across the water.

Tegelen Map Poster & Print
Tegelen sits on the east bank of the Maas in northern Limburg, directly south of Venlo, whose municipality it joined in 2001. From above it reads as a compact centre with residential streets spreading toward the river on one side and toward wooded higher ground and the German border on the other. Former clay pits and ponds leave irregular shapes in the landscape.
The town's name echoes its trade. For centuries the local clay fed brickworks and tile makers, and the word tegel means tile in Dutch. Geologists know Tegelen for another reason: its clay deposits gave their name to the Tiglian, a stage of the early Pleistocene. The town is also known for its Passion Play, staged in an open-air theatre since the 1930s.
A Tegelen map poster carries those layers quietly. The river bend, the gridded housing, the patches of woodland and the scattered water left by old excavations combine into a composition with a surprising amount of variety for a town of its size. It is a map of a place shaped by what lay underground.

Clay-pit ponds
Former extraction sites have become ponds and green areas. On the map they appear as irregular water shapes, a trace of the brick and tile industry that named the town.
Border woodland
Toward the east the streets give way to woods and higher ground stretching to the German border, adding darker, quieter areas to the edge of the poster.

ඇයි Tegelen
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Tegelen has a strong local identity even as part of Venlo, and a map of it speaks to people who grew up there or return for the Passion Play. It is a considered gift for a new home nearby.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line can be personalised, for instance with Tegelen alone or with a family name, and you can choose among Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint and Sand. Sand suits the town's clay heritage.
