Thanatpin Map Poster & Print
Thanatpin sits in the lowlands of Myanmar's Bago Region, a flat landscape where water shapes almost everything. From above, the town is a compact grouping of streets and blocks, and beyond it the ground divides into the fine lines of field boundaries, channels and tracks. The land has hardly any relief, so the mapped lines stay unusually even.
This is farming country, and its main crop is rice. On the map that shows up as a pattern rather than as landmarks. Roads run along raised ground, waterways cut shallow lines between parcels, and villages sit as small clusters along them. The town itself is the densest knot in a wide, level network that is quiet to look at.
A Thanatpin map poster keeps that quiet structure as it is. There are no mountains or coastline to pull the eye to one side, so the composition turns on the way the streets thin out into the surrounding plain. The result is a calm, balanced print of a place that is rarely drawn at all.

Field-edge roads
Roads and tracks head out from town along the edges of cultivated land and link it to nearby villages in a loose web.
