Torre del Mar Map Poster & Print
Torre del Mar is the coastal part of the municipality of Vélez-Málaga, on the eastern stretch of the Málaga coast known as the Axarquía. On a map it is a strip of town laid parallel to the shoreline, a few blocks deep, with a long seafront promenade drawing a single clean line along the edge of the Mediterranean.
Behind the beach, streets form a fairly regular grid, crossed by the main road that follows the coast. The mouth of the Río Vélez lies just to the west, where the river's course breaks the line of buildings. Inland, the land shifts to fields and orchards before climbing toward the hills and the old town of Vélez-Málaga.
The town takes its name from a watchtower that once guarded this coast, and a tall brick chimney from a former sugar mill still stands as a reminder of the sugar cane once grown on the plain. A Torre del Mar map poster shows the seafront, the grid and the river mouth together, a clear portrait of a Mediterranean beach town.

Río Vélez mouth
West of the centre, the river meets the sea across open ground, one of the few places along this stretch where the coastline is not lined with buildings.
Coastal grid
Behind the seafront, a regular pattern of streets fills the narrow strip between the beach and the main coastal road, dense and orderly in plan.

Many people know Torre del Mar from long summers by the sea, and others have settled here for good. A poster of the coast keeps that view on the wall all year. Personalise the title, add the year of a first holiday or a move, and adjust the coordinates to your beach or street.
Sand is a natural match for a beach town, and Blueprint makes the coastline especially crisp. Classic black and white, Paper and Noir are also available. Every order starts with a free watermarked preview, then choose the $9 HD files or a printed poster on matte paper.
