Ucuma Map Poster & Print
Ucuma is a town in Huambo province, on the high central plateau of Angola, an area of rolling upland well over a thousand metres above sea level. The town's streets gather in a compact core, and on a map they give way quickly to farmland, tracks and small settlements scattered across the gently undulating landscape of the planalto.
The surrounding land is largely agricultural, and the pattern it leaves on a map is loose and irregular: footpaths and unpaved roads linking homesteads, fields and neighbouring villages, with streams running through shallow valleys. Printed in monochrome, these fine lines create a delicate web around the denser centre, a very different texture from the gridded cities of the coast.
Few printed maps show Ucuma in any detail, which gives an Ucuma map poster real personal value for people connected to the town. It records the layout of the centre and the roads leading out across the province, a simple and honest picture of a place in the Angolan highlands.

Plateau landscape
Set on Angola's central highlands, the town sits in rolling terrain where shallow valleys and gentle rises shape the course of roads and streams around it.
Web of rural paths
Unpaved roads and footpaths spread outward to farms and villages, forming a fine, irregular network that fills the edges of the map with quiet detail.
