Vejle Map Poster & Print
Vejle sits where Vejle Fjord ends and a broad valley opens inland, in eastern Jutland. From above, the shape is unusual for Denmark: the centre fills the flat valley floor along the river, while suburbs climb the steep, wooded hillsides to the north and south. Streets on the slopes curve with the terrain, contrasting with the straighter lines of the old town and harbour.
The fjord gives the map its strongest element, a long tongue of water narrowing toward the harbour. East of the city, the Vejle Fjord Bridge carries the E45 motorway high over the water in a single decisive line. On the harbour front, recent architecture such as the wave-shaped Bølgen housing and Olafur Eliasson's Fjordenhus has given the waterfront a new profile.
A Vejle map poster brings those contrasts together: water, valley and hillside in one frame. The UNESCO-listed Jelling monuments, with their burial mounds and rune stones, lie a short distance to the northwest, which makes the area meaningful for anyone interested in Danish history. In black and white, the fjord and slopes give the print unusual depth.

Motorway bridge
The Vejle Fjord Bridge crosses the water east of the city, carrying the E45 in a long, straight line that is one of the most striking features on the map.
Valley and slopes
The old centre lies on the flat valley floor along the river, while residential streets wind up the steep hillsides, creating curved patterns rarely seen in Danish towns.

Vejle means different things to different people: a hometown, a job that brought you to Jutland, a summer by the fjord, a trip to Jelling. Its map is distinctive enough to stand on its own as a graphic piece, and familiar enough to bring back specific memories.
