Vilhena Map Poster & Print
Vilhena sits in the far south of Rondônia, close to the border with Mato Grosso, on the Chapada dos Parecis. This high plateau gives the city a milder climate than much of the Amazon region. For travellers coming up the BR-364 from the south, it is the first large city in the state, which is why it is often called the gateway to Rondônia.
Its origins go back to a station on the telegraph line built by Marshal Cândido Rondon's commission in the early twentieth century. Most of the city grew later, with road building and farm settlement from the 1960s onward. The map shows that recent growth clearly: wide, regular blocks, straight avenues and neighbourhoods laid out in tidy grids around the highway.
A Vilhena map poster emphasises that orderly geometry. The BR-364 runs through as a strong line, the street grid fills the plateau on either side, and the edges of the city meet open farmland and cerrado vegetation. In monochrome the result is clean and almost architectural, a portrait of a young city built with plenty of room.

Grid neighbourhoods
Residential districts are laid out in regular blocks with straight streets. This spacious, planned pattern is typical of Brazil's newer frontier cities and looks striking reduced to black lines.
Plateau setting
The city sits high on the Chapada dos Parecis. Past its last streets, the map opens out into large rectangular fields and patches of native vegetation.

ඇයි Vilhena
අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Vilhena draws people from all over Brazil, many of whom came for farming, trade or public service and built their lives here. A map of the city marks that choice. It also suits people who grew up here and now live elsewhere.
You can personalise the title, subtitle and coordinates, perhaps with the year your family arrived, and choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand. HD files for all six sizes cost $9, and printed posters come on matte paper with an optional wooden frame.
