Valley districts
Neighbourhoods fill separate valleys and slopes, so the map reads as a cluster of settlements rather than one mass. The green gaps between them give the composition air and rhythm.

Wałbrzych Map Poster & Print
Wałbrzych spreads across a series of valleys in the Wałbrzych Mountains, part of the Central Sudetes in Lower Silesia. Unlike a city built on a plain, it has no single centre radiating outward. From above you see separate districts, each filling its own valley or slope, linked by roads that follow the contours, with wooded ridges rising between them.
For well over a century the city lived from coal. The mines closed around the end of the twentieth century, and one of them has become Stara Kopalnia, a science and art centre that keeps its headframes and industrial buildings. That legacy can still be read on the map in the railway lines, old industrial sites and workers' housing tucked into the valleys.
Książ Castle, one of the largest castles in Poland, stands within the city limits on a rocky spur above a deep gorge, surrounded by parkland. A Wałbrzych map poster captures this unusual structure: a city divided by hills, with forest, gorge and castle held in the same frame as its streets.

Książ Castle
The castle sits on a wooded spur on the northern side of the city, above a gorge. On the poster it appears inside a wide patch of forest, reached by curving access roads.
Stara Kopalnia
The former mine near the centre, now a science and art centre, is surrounded by old railway lines and industrial plots that recall the city's coal era.

අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Wałbrzych means a great deal to families with mining roots and to anyone who knows its hills, castle and steep streets. The map shows why the city feels so different from others in Poland: the mountains shaped it, and it was never simply laid over them.
