Paddy field mesh
Small rectangular fields divided by farm roads cover much of the map. They create a dense, repeating pattern that becomes the main texture of the poster.

Yamaguma Map Poster & Print
Yamaguma lies in central Fukuoka Prefecture, in the Asakura area on the northern side of the broad Chikugo plain, southeast of Fukuoka city. From above, the area is defined by agriculture. Rectangular rice paddies are divided by narrow roads and irrigation channels, houses gather in small clusters, and a few larger roads cut across the pattern.
This is an everyday landscape, not one of famous landmarks. Homes, schools and small workplaces spread between the fields, and hills rise not far to the north and east. On a map that makes for a surprisingly graphic image, a grid that is regular but never quite uniform.
A Yamaguma map poster suits anyone who knows the area from daily life: the drive between paddies, the walk to school, the lanes that link one hamlet to the next. In black and white, the network of fields and roads starts to look like woven cloth.

Hamlet clusters
Houses gather in tight groups among the fields, and each forms a small knot of irregular lanes within the broader grid of farmland.
Irrigation channels
Narrow waterways run alongside many of the roads and carry water across the plain. On the map they add thin parallel lines that echo the field boundaries.

අර්ථයක් ඇති සිතියමක්
Rural Japan is often left off decorative maps, but for people who grew up among these fields it is exactly the view worth keeping. The title and subtitle can be set in any wording you like, including a family name or the year you left home.
Paper and Sand bring out a calm, craft-like warmth, while Classic black & white, Noir and Blueprint emphasize the geometry. Download all six sizes, including 30×40 cm and A3, for $9, or order a printed poster with an optional wooden frame.
