Yashiro Map Poster & Print
Yashiro is an area of Katō city in Hyōgo prefecture, western Japan. It was an independent town until it merged with neighbouring municipalities in 2006. It lies inland from the Seto Inland Sea coast, in countryside of rice paddies, small rivers and low wooded hills typical of this part of Harima.
On the map, the town's streets form a modest, compact centre, with roads following valley floors and running out between the fields. Residential areas cluster along these routes, and the rice paddies around them divide the land into small, regular plots. The wooded hills nearby appear as blank space, framing the settled lowland.
A Yashiro map poster records a quieter side of Japan, a place of fields, local roads and hill edges rather than dense city blocks. It suits people with family roots here, and anyone who knows the countryside of inland Hyōgo.

Wooded hills
Low forested hills surround the settled lowland. They leave open, calm space at the edges of the composition.
