Yōkaichiba Map Poster & Print
Yōkaichiba was a city in northeastern Chiba Prefecture until 2006, when it merged with the town of Nosaka to form the city of Sōsa. The name means eighth-day market and points to the town's origins as a periodic market. The old centre still reads as the place where routes across the surrounding farmland meet.
On the map, the station and the streets around it form a dense core, while the land beyond breaks into the fine rectangular mesh of rice paddies. To the south, the flat Kujūkuri plain runs toward the Pacific coast. To the north, the ground rises into low, forested hills cut by narrow valleys.
A Yōkaichiba map poster captures the balance between a small urban knot and the farmland grid around it. It suits anyone who grew up here before the merger, or who knows the area through family, and would rather see the old name on the wall. The title can carry that name while the coordinates line pins down exactly where it is.

Paddy field mesh
Irrigated rice fields surround the town in a fine rectangular pattern. In black and white, it becomes an almost textile-like background.
Hills and plain
Low wooded hills to the north meet the flat coastal plain to the south, so the map shifts from winding valley roads to straight farm tracks.

Places merged into larger municipalities tend to fade from maps and road signs, even while people keep using their names. A poster of Yōkaichiba holds on to the town as people remember it, and it tends to be a welcome gift for parents and grandparents from the area.
The title, subtitle and coordinates line are all editable, so you can write Yōkaichiba, Sōsa or both. Choose Classic black & white, Noir, Paper, Blueprint or Sand, then download 300 DPI PNG and print-ready PDF files for $9 or order a framed print.
