Abreu e Lima Map Poster & Print
Abreu e Lima lies in the metropolitan region of Recife, in Pernambuco, a short distance north of the state capital. On the map it forms an irregular urban area threaded by a main federal highway, with neighbourhoods branching off on either side. Around the built-up zones, the lines thin out into green areas, streams and low hills that break the city into distinct pockets.
The city is named after José Inácio de Abreu e Lima, a Pernambuco-born general who fought alongside Simón Bolívar in the wars of independence in South America. That link to a wider continental story sets it apart from many neighbouring towns, which carry the names of saints or local features.
An Abreu e Lima map poster reflects a place shaped by its connection to Recife and by the terrain around it. Streets are not organised in a single grid, so the drawing shows clusters of blocks separated by open land. This gives the composition a looser, more organic look, with the highway acting as a strong line through the centre.

Scattered neighbourhoods
Built-up areas form separate clusters rather than one continuous block, leaving open spaces between them that give the map a varied, patchwork texture.
Green margins
Streams, vegetation and low ground surround the urban districts, softening the edges of the city and giving it a clear sense of its natural setting.

Zakaj Abreu e Lima
Zemljevid, ki nekaj pomeni
Many families in greater Recife have ties to Abreu e Lima, whether through work, school or long-time residence. A map of the city can carry a family name in the title and a meaningful date in the subtitle, turning a regional town into a personal keepsake.
The patchwork of neighbourhoods shows well in Classic black and white and Paper. Sand gives a warm, tropical feel, while Noir and Blueprint offer a stronger, more modern contrast. The coordinates line can stay as the city centre or point to a specific home.
