Compact town centre
The central streets form a tight, regular pattern of blocks, the most concentrated part of the map. They are easy to trace from one end of town to the other.

Acopiara Map Poster & Print
Acopiara lies in the interior of Ceará, in Brazil's semi-arid northeast, a region known as the sertão. The landscape is dry scrubland that turns green only in the rainy months. From above, the town is a compact grouping of streets. Its centre is organised around a few main avenues, and the surrounding land is sparsely settled and cut by country roads and seasonal watercourses.
Like many towns of the Ceará interior, Acopiara's plan is straightforward. It has a denser core with a main square and church at its heart, rows of low houses along regular streets, and newer blocks added at the edges as the town grew. Its population is spread across a large municipality, much of it rural, so the urban area is only a small part of the wider territory.
An Acopiara map poster focuses on that urban heart and shows its streets with precision and restraint. The contrast between the neat blocks of town and the open land around it is strong in black and white. The result is a spare, calm image that reflects the character of the sertão.

Sertão surroundings
Beyond the last streets the land opens into semi-arid backcountry, crossed only by scattered roads and dry streambeds. This gives the poster plenty of breathing room.
Roads into the interior
A few routes leave town toward neighbouring municipalities of central Ceará. They form long lines that anchor the town within its wider landscape.
