Agía Varvára Map Poster & Print
Agía Varvára is a municipality in the western part of the Athens urban area, surrounded by neighbouring municipalities such as Aigaleo and Korydallos. It covers a small area and is very densely built. From above it is an almost continuous mesh of apartment blocks and narrow streets that merges seamlessly with the districts around it.
The municipality takes its name from Saint Barbara, and the area grew quickly in the twentieth century as Athens expanded westward. A station on Metro Line 3 now connects it more directly with the city centre and Piraeus. Beyond the suburb, hills on the western edge of the Athens basin mark the transition toward the Thriasian plain.
An Agía Varvára map poster turns this dense urban fabric into an intricate pattern of blocks and streets. Main avenues cut through the grid in clear lines, and small squares and parks appear as pockets of white. The edges of the frame show how the suburb joins the larger city with no visible break at all.

Zakaj Agía Varvára
