Agulu Map Poster & Print
Agulu lies in Anambra State in southeastern Nigeria, on uplands where the land drops away into steep valleys. From above, the most noticeable feature is Agulu Lake, a calm body of water on the edge of the town. The roads follow ridges and connect the town's quarters, and houses are spread along them instead of forming one dense centre.
The lake is well known locally and is associated with traditional protection of the crocodiles living in it. The surrounding area is also known for severe gully erosion, part of the Agulu–Nanka zone, where heavy rain has cut deep ravines into the soft ground. On a map these gullies show up as abrupt breaks in the road network.
An Agulu map poster captures this unusual terrain: a lake, ridge roads and the scarred edges of the uplands. For people from the town, living in Lagos, Abuja or abroad, the print shows the lanes and compounds of home, as well as the lake that many remember from childhood.

Ridge-top roads
Roads follow the higher ground, linking quarters spread across the uplands. The result is a loose, branching network rather than a tight grid.
Erosion gullies
Deep ravines cut into the land nearby. On the map they interrupt the network of roads and give the edges of the town a broken outline.
