Al Bājūr Map Poster & Print
Al Bājūr is a town and administrative centre in Monufia governorate, in the southern part of the Nile Delta. The land is completely flat and intensively farmed. The map shows a compact, dense town surrounded by a fine network of canals, drains and field paths.
The Delta has been farmed for thousands of years, and its irrigation network is one of the most characteristic landscapes in Egypt. Around Al Bājūr, straight and gently curving canals divide the land into small plots. Roads often run along the canal banks and connect the town with the villages nearby.
An Al Bājūr map poster shows how closely the town is tied to its farmland. The centre is densely built up, and around it the canals and roads form a detailed, even pattern that extends to the edges of the frame. It is a quiet, precise image of Delta country.
